- How fast does someone come?
-
That depends on the shop, the hour, and how many storms are hitting
Gwinnett the same night. We cannot promise a 60-minute truck. Emergency
water is still worth calling now. Drying is cheaper than waiting until
morning if the house is still taking water.
- Can I stay in the house?
-
Often yes on a clean supply-line leak in one room. No if sewage is out,
the ceiling is coming down, or the panel is wet. The crew on site should
tell you.
- Do I have to hire the company you send?
-
No. Someone will call you. You can get a second opinion before any
work starts.
- What if it is only a small drip?
-
If the water is off and you can see all of it, start on
small leaks. If it still smells or feels damp
the next day, send the form.
- How long does drying take?
-
A one-room clean leak can be a couple of days of fans and a dehumidifier.
Wet pad, hardwood, or walls often take longer. A shop should measure
moisture, not guess from how it looks.
- Will they work with my insurance?
-
Most restoration companies in this area will. We do not file the claim.
Photograph first. More on
insurance.
